Biography

Noor Alhammad, from Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia, is a summer intern at the Reef Ecology Lab at KAUST and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology at UCLA. Her research focuses on the ecology and conservation of marine species, with a particular interest in Halavi guitarfish (Glaucostegus halavi) and green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas). She investigates how environmental factors influence guitarfish catch rates, reviews the healing abilities of elasmobranchs, and analyzes data on tissue repair and recovery.
