Ronald is a dedicated and versatile professional whose career bridges information systems, international business operations, and scientific research support. With a strong foundation in Management Information Systems earned in Manila, Philippines, he developed a deep understanding of how data and technology drive modern organizational success. His global experience in the hospitality sector—in cities like Boston, New York, Dubai, and Manila—sharpened his skills in strategic planning, operations management, and cross-cultural leadership.

In 2018, Ronald transitioned into the scientific arena by joining King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) as a Research Integration and GIS Analyst. In this role, he supports multidisciplinary research initiatives by leveraging Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze spatial data and integrate complex findings. He also plays an active role in fieldwork and hands-on research support, including the fabrication of custom equipment, underscoring his commitment to enabling scientific discovery and innovation.

Outside of his professional work, Ronald shares his passion for music with the community as “DJ Shark.” Spinning a mix of 90s classics and contemporary hits, he uses music as a way to connect people and contribute positively to his surroundings, embodying his belief in the power of both science and art to inspire and unite.
