Mili grew up in Banja Luka, at the north of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and fell in love with the sea at the age of nine, upon their first encounter. She did her Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Banja Luka. After that, she moved to Como, Italy and finished her Masters in Environmental and Geomatic Engineering at Polytechnic University of Milan at the end of 2016.
Even though Mili has an engineering background, she always wanted to learn more about the ocean. She joined KAUST as an intern in RSRC in spring 2018 and came back as a full-time student in January 2019.
Mili is interested in marine conservation, GIS applications in marine environment and Marine Spatial Planning.
