Sophia was born in Germany and raised in California where she first encountered the ocean at age 5. Following her passion for the ocean, she later completed a Bachelors degree in Marine Science at UHI based at the Scottish Association for Marine Science on the picturesque west coast of Scotland. She is an incoming Masters student in the Reef Ecology Lab where she will continue studying and championing the ocean helping ensure that it is treated with the respect it deserves.
