Research Interests

Tane is a field research scientist originating in Australia / New Zealand. As a close research associate of Prof. Berumen in the Reef Ecology Lab, Tane is involved in numerous research projects that cover a range of disciplines including; larval dispersal ecology, marine connectivity, biodiversity and biogeography, megafauna movement ecology and applied management and conservation planning. As an Explorers Club International Fellow, Tane has lead remote marine research expeditions to every ocean, and regularly collaborates with leading scientists from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, The California Academy of Sciences, James Cook University, Curtin University and The University of Queensland.
